If you like the structure of the .NET platform, then the Cuemon .NET Framework Additions might just be that extra solution you have been looking for! With these assemblies I have aimed to accomplish at least two things; simplify the tedious work that is always present when coding towards a generic framework, and implementing some core- and utility classes for you to enjoy.

The package consists of the Cuemon.dll, Cuemon.Web, Cuemon.Xml.dll, Cuemon.Data.dll, Cuemon.Data.SqlCeClient, Cuemon.Data.Entity.dll and Cuemon.Data.Entity.SqlCeClient.dll.

Together, these provides strong database and ORM capabilities (Data and Entity), strong and fast XML serializing for your cloud enabled services and simplified and fast XSL Transformation (Xml), pure UI separation using XsltPage with native support for traditional ASP.NET controls (they are rendered as XML), recommended usage is of course more like MVC model or traditional web-coding. The beauty in this approach is, that EVERYTHING is XML, why you will not see inline ASP.NET code in your XSL unlike Razor and similar (Web).

Last but not least; the core in the family, strongly supporting and extending our beloved System.dll assembly.

I have to encourage you to check out the family - whether it be in it's entirety or on assembly level. I am sure there are something appealing to you as well.

Learning curve should be somewhat low, as I strictly follow (and evolve) the fine work of the original .NET Framework structure. Eg. if you need help with Encoding (found in System.Text), you would go to the Cuemon.Text namespace and so forth.

One thing you should take advantage of already now, is the CachingManager - this is built way more flexible than the one out-of-the-box in the System.Web assembly, and is located in the core assembly, in the Cuemon.Caching namespace.

Happy coding!
